It had to be said, didn’t it?

Sad, but true as shit. Fuck all of you.

So, awhile back I was going to apply for the Web Application Developer position Tumblr is currently offering. I figured instead of scrounge around for some sample code from a side project (I haven’t really tinkered with much to admire in recent years anyways) or find something I could use from work (it’s all intranet based anyways - and finding a standalone script encapsulating my work would be difficult), I thought I’d exemplify knowledge of SQL, PHP, and tumblr by building a little backup script that backs up blogs through tumblr’s nifty API. Since that time, I’ve decided against applying…but I didn’t want the little project to just sit around, so I’ve been tinkering with it again. I’ve been putting together little sample queries showing how to pull the information out of the database (pretty common sense for anyone that understands PHP/MySQL - but it’s nice to include) - and I’ll probably make some extra nonsense like pie graph breakdowns or something. ANYWAYS, I noticed topherchris has now reached FIVE THOUSAND POSTS! What a champ, etc. :)
